David Barnhart, O.D.

Dr. Barnhart was born in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology and received his Doctorate of Optometry from Ohio State College of Optometry.His clinical rotations allowed him to gain experience in pediatrics, contact lenses, low vision, and geriatrics.While in school, he was recognized with the Vision Therapy Award, Eschenbach Award for Excellence in Low Vision, and the Ohio State College of Optometry Graduate of the Year.

Dr. Barnhart completed a hospital based ocular disease residency at the Chillicothe/Columbus Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Ohio.He has used this experience to gain valuable knowledge in the diagnosis and management in low vision, glaucoma, retinal and systemic diseases.

When not at work, Dr. Barnhart enjoys spending time with his daughters, Leah and Claire, and wife, Deborah. He especially looks forward their jogs together.
